SOPHOMORE GERMAN.
As soon as the-concert ended about
thirty-five couples went to Warner Hall,
where the Sophomore german was
danced.
The hall was decorated with palms,
ferns and other potted plants massed
on either side of the doorway, around
the musician’s gallery and at the stair-
ways leading up on to the stage. The
side walls were draped with wild
All Over.

Southern smilax, which also covered the
boxes. A large class flag was hung
above the stage and four smaller ones
over the mirrors. The oars of last year’s
Freshman crew were also hung on the
walls. The favors were made by Mrs.
Collins of New York City, and were
arranged about the fireplace where the
patronesses were seated. The pat-
ronesses were: Mrs. H. L. Hotchkiss;
Mrs. W. L. Phelps, and Mrs. Ring of
New Haven; Mrs. A. C. Hord of
Cleveland and Mrs. Riggs of New York
City. The favors consisted of orna-
mented staffs, sachet bags, distaffs, and
sachets for the ladies; whistles, fancy
pipes, Japanese heads, and horse shoes
for the gentlemen. In addition to these
there were souvenir book marks of sil-
ver with the Class numerals engraved
on them and engraved silver paper cut-
ters, the former for the ladies and the
later for the gentlemen. A supper was
served by Maresi of New York.
The cotillion was led by H. S. Cur-
tiss and J. A. Keppelman. The follow-

SENIOR GERMAN.
The annual german of the Senior
Class was held -at Lenox Hall, directly
after the Promenade Concert. F. H.
Brooke and YW. E. S. Griswold led the
cotillion. The music was furnished by
Weil of New Haven, and Maresi of
New York served the supper. Five
favor figures were danced and souvenir
favors, silver and glass bon-bon boxes
for the ladies, and silver shaving
brushes with the Class numerals for the
men, was also given.

Tuesday from 4 until 7 in their new

THE PRIVATE TEAS.
On Tuesday afternoon several private
teas were given. One of the most en-
joyable of these was that given by P.,
A. Rockefeller, 1900; M. B. Brainard,
1900; L. B. Barbour, 1900; Burns
Henry, 1900; H. Boocock, 1900; S.
Campbell, 1900, and G. W. Simmons,
1900, in their rooms on the fifth floor of
the Hutchinson. Mrs. Wm. Rockefel-
ler, Mrs. D. G. Hamilton, Mrs. L. A.
Barbour, and Mrs. A. S. Campbell were
the chaperones. .
Another tea given in the Hutchinson
Tuesday afternoon was_ that by H.

all 1901, at which Mrs. Riggs, Mrs.
Jones, and Mrs. Thompson were the
