Perrin, ’95, died on June 15, at Boulder, Colorado, after a long and heroic struggle with an incurable dis- ease. He left’ College in© December, 1894, and went to Colorado: He has “resided there most of the time since, making somewhat extended visits to Mexico and Switzerland. -His brother, J. O. Perrin, ’79, was with him at the last. CHARLES MEIGS CHARNLEY, JR., 97. Charles Meigs. Charnley, Jr., died in his apartments in Los Angeles, Cal., on me 4th, 1808.' He had been suffering or, some time with chronic stomach trouble. Mr. Charnley was the son of Charles M. Charnley of the Class of ’65, and was born in Chicago, on May 16th, 1874. He had but recently come to California in the hope of receiving benefit from the change in climate, and was living with his younger brother in Los Angeles. see ee. In 1895 the Yale Nine won two championships and made a4 total in both series of only twenty-one runs. In 1897, the Yale Nine lost both championships and made a total of forty-six runs. This year, a _ single man’s arm was just saved from coin- plete uselessness. By this very nar- row margin and great pluck, Green- way was able to pitch at critical times and so the virtues of the Nine were made to count for something. As a whole, outside of this position, Green- . way’s men are rated as at least equal to any collection of baseball players Yale has had in former years. A very excellent authority, who-has had much to do with their development, calls them on the whole the best set of Yale ball players he has ever met. Senior Supper at Savin Rock. The annual Class supper of the Class was held at Savin Rock on Friday night. About ninety men_ attended, leaving the Green in special cars and re- turning about midnight.
