Opens - October 5, 1808. For particulars address the Acting Dean, SAMUEL C, BENNETT, a number of men from the Second Crew were tried in the first boat. It will be remembered that the Second Crew de- feated the First in the Spring Regatta, and a number of races were rowed dur- ing the few days following, with the same result. Since Friday no definite order has been followed, but different men have been tried in the various positions, so as to determine the most effective com- bination. The final make-up of the Crew will probably not be settled until the latter part of next week. . The general order during the week has been: Stroke, Cameron, 1901; 7, Mitchell, 1901; 6, Brown, 1901, captain; 5, Gil- lette, 1900 S.; 4, Keppleman, 1901; 3, Auchincloss, t90or and Atkinson, 1901: 2, Ireland, 1900 S., Olcott, 1900 S., and Wheeler, 1901; bow, Waterman, 1901. Mitchell, Cameron and Waterman have been taken to the training table. The numerous changes have allowed little opportunity for improvement, but it is expected that the crew will round ‘rapidly into form after the final selec- tion is made. The men will start for Gale’s Ferry on June 8th, but, in ac- cordance with a new Faculty ruling, will have to return to New Haven for their examinations. SCHOOLS.
