    SP. LOUIS ALUMNI
A Very Novel and Successful Evening
Enjoyed.
The annual dinner of the Yale Alum-
ni Association of St. Louis was held in
the St. Louis Club, Saturday evening,
May 15. All things considered, it was
the most entertaining meeting for
years. Instead of the customary toasts,
an entertainment of a rather unusual
character was arranged to follow the
dinner. It consisted of a number of
talks on various subjects of Yale life,
as indicated by the program which fol-
lows:
1. Historical ‘Sketch.......
CE os Se a Frederick N. Judson, ’66
2. Old College Festivals...........6.%
ES ey ea Charles H. Goodman, ’67
3. Baseball.....Wallace D. Simmons, ’90
4 Peppa gS Allen C. Orrick, ’92
5. Wamebatl: 5... Charles R. Skinker, ’94

All the talks were illustrated by ster-
eopttcon views. Great enthusiasm was
displayed over the pictures, and repeats
ed cheers were given for the different
college Presidents and Professors as
their faces looked down on the com-
pany. Yale’s great athletes and the
old college characters came in for their
share of applause. “Pop-. . Smith,
“Davy”? and ‘‘Mose’’ were duly recog-
nized and a story told about each. In
addition, some excellent pictures of
scenes from college life were presented.
The election of officers resulted: Pres-
ident, Judge Elmer B. Adams, ’65; Vice-
President, Edward N. Hidden, ’85; Sec-
gee ey Treasurer, Charles R. Skin-
er, ’94.
